Pauline Ida Stairs

Pauline I. Stairs passed away on April 5, 2018 at Riverside Court, Woodstock, NB. Pauline was born on December 7, 1918 at Southampton, NB, a daughter of the late Harry and Mildred (Burden) Cronkhite.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Alissa Stairs (Jim), Kingston Peninsula, NB, Natasha Fox (Aaron), Nackawic, NB and Yolandra Jordan (Taylor), Fredericton, NB; great grandchildren, Colton, Brogan, Maxwell and Jace; a daughter-in-law, Donna Stairs-Hinton (Jimmy), Temperance Vale, NB; a sister-in-law, Anna Cronkhite, Fredericton, NB; a brother-in-law, Ralph Carson (Marguerite), Woodstock, NB; nieces and nephews, Eileen, Brenda, Cathy, Janet, Blake, Steven, Diane, Keith, Judy, Joey, Barb, Phillip, Sandra and Brian.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Perley M. Stairs; her son, Robert Stairs; two sisters, Ruth Meldrum (Vernon) and Jean Carson; two brothers, Lloyd Cronkhite and Melbourne Cronkhite (Freda); two brothers-in-law, Edison Stairs (June) and Walter Stairs (Thelma) and a nephew, Brian Carson.

Visiting hours were held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Sunday, April 8, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral service was held at Kirk United Church, Nackawic, NB on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11 am with Rev. Jennifer Brown officiating. A eulogy was delivered by granddaughter, Natasha Fox. A poem was ready niece, Brenda Adams. Music was provided by the choir with Joanne Fletcher as organist. Pauline's niece Janet played "The Robins Return" on the piano as a postlude. A reception followed at the church. Interment at Otis Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Blake Meldrum, Steven Meldrum, Keith Cronkhite, Jim Peters, Aaron Fox and Taylor Jordan.
